About the Role
As a Technology Specialist – WINTEL Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering Windows (Wintel) engineering solutions and advisory services. You’ll be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of Windows-based systems supporting Defence and Government clients, either onsite or in a back-of-office environment.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, manage, and maintain Microsoft Windows Servers and workstations
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Microsoft Exchange, and DHCP
Lead complex migration projects, including VMware to Microsoft Hyper-V transitions
Troubleshoot advanced virtualised environment issues
Manage virtual machines using VMware vSphere and vCenter
Maintain system security through patching, updates, and monitoring
Perform system performance tuning and troubleshooting
Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions
Provide technical guidance to clients and internal teams
Support proprietary classified Defence software across Protected, Secret, and Coalition environments
Provide IT Helpdesk support (up to L2), including encryption devices and IP security
About You
Australian citizen (mandatory for Defence projects)
Minimum AGSVA NV1 clearance (NV2 eligibility preferred)
Defence project experience within ICT, engineering, or technology integration environments
Relevant certifications (MCSA, MCSE, VMware VCP, or equivalent)
Experience supporting Deployable Information Environments (DIE)
Strong Windows Server experience
Solid skills in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
VMware virtualisation experience
Strong understanding of secure ICT environments (ISM, DSPF, PSPF)
Hands-on troubleshooting, patching, and performance tuning skills
Ability to operate in high-pressure, secure environments
3–5 years’ experience in Wintel / ICT engineering
